Being an alien here (extranjero) in Madrid, most people you get closer with are most likely aliens, too. So I usually go out with Brits, French, Dutch guys, Germans and, naturally, some Austrians. Although most guys are in all sorts of IT jobs (it seems we aliens are building the spanish web and IT structure...), hardly any of them have their own homepage or blog.
Yet, I would like to recommend Jonathan Diehls blog, a German guy I go out with quite frequently (and with whom I have been in skiing in Granada). He puts his pics up at flickr where you can see some of the stuff we did together, also. He's here developing an ajaxian RoR (Ruby on Rails) website and has some nice tutorials, code snippets and hints on how to do things with AJAX and Ruby. Have a look, if you like!
None the less, I also made friends with some of the locals, especially though my workplace and my flatmate, Iris. And I must say, Spanish people are generally very open and friendly, most usually if you go to a bar or any place and ain't a complete weirdo you'll meet people very quick here (including plenty of beautifull girls, too!). Overall, it definately is alot more better than what I ever experienced back in Austria and Germany.
